Tillicum MS is such a special place because of the people behind it — the families, staff, volunteers, and our amazing PTA team. We’ve been so lucky to work alongside a group of dedicated, supportive, and genuinely fun people who care deeply about our school and our kids.

Four years ago, during our first year at TMS, I simply wanted to get to know the school better, meet other parents, stay informed, and feel connected to the community. Joining the PTA board ended up being one of the best decisions I could have made. It opened the door to friendships, experiences, and opportunities to make a real difference for our students and staff.

A strong school community starts with people willing to step in, help, and lead. Our school simply cannot function without community support, and a solid PTA board plays a huge role in making so many programs, events, and opportunities possible for students and staff.

While this chapter as Co-Presidents is ending for us, Tillicum will always be home. We’ll still be here for the next three years and are more than happy to help support and transition new leaders into these roles.

If you’ve ever considered getting involved, this is your sign. You do not have to do everything perfectly — you just have to care. Fresh ideas, new energy, and community involvement are what keep our PTA strong.
