Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we're so glad you're here. To our incoming 6th grade families and everyone new to Tillicum: welcome! You've just joined a community that spans several feeder schools and comes together as one Tiger family.

 

The Tillicum Middle School PTA exists to help make that happen — connecting families, supporting our staff and our amazing principal, and helping every student feel like they belong here.

 

 

Please stop the PTA table by at any of the upcoming events to say hi! 

 

The Welcome Walk Through (8/31 at 5:30-7pm) is a great way for families to see the school and say hi to our PTA team. 

 

Our PTAs annual Ice Cream Social (9/10 at 6pm) is a really fun event for all of our students and families to gather. There's free ice cream and lots of people to connect with and feel welcomed by the community. 

 

And we'll be at Curriculum Night (9/15), as you're attending your student's classes for the evening and meeting the teachers, don't forget to come by the PTA table where we can get you registered with the PTA and also answer any questions you might have.

 

 

As we start the 2026–2027 school year, our PTA has three open leadership roles:

Here's the good news: the team is already here. We have dedicated board members, supportive staff, and experienced volunteers ready to help. You would not be stepping into any of these roles alone.

 

Middle school PTA is different from elementary school PTA. Our role is less about running every event and more about helping connect families, support staff, and bring students from our feeder schools together into one Tiger community.

 

Serving on the PTA is also one of the best ways to get to know other Tiger families, build friendships, stay connected to what's happening at school, and help create a positive middle school experience for all students.

 

That said, a PTA cannot operate without a President, and our fundraising and programs work needs leaders too. Simply put, we need a few people willing to help guide the team.

 

If you've ever thought about getting more involved, making a difference in your child's school experience, or helping shape our Tiger community, we encourage you to consider whether one of these roles might be right for you.

 

Co-leads are welcome for any position. In fact, sharing a role often makes it more enjoyable and more manageable.
